My Thoughts

What a perfect ending to a great trilogy! To say I’m shattered is an understatement. From the very start of this book, I was glued to the pages. Flying through them like my life depended on it. There were so many twists that I did not see coming. It was like a movie playing in my mind that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were so many moments of pure giddiness, screaming and great emotions. Kai truly has a piece of my heart. LAUREN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! LOL!

This book left me with a flood of questions that I couldn’t get enough of. It did a fantastic job at wrapping up some loose ends from “Reckless” while still introducing new mysteries that kept me intrigued. I’m genuinely hoping for another small novella to dive deeper into those unanswered questions because I just can’t get enough of this thrilling series!

SPOILER ALERT!

Adena’s Death: This last story was emotional rollercoaster that truly tugged at my heartstrings. The constant reminder of Adena’s death in the story had me feeling like I was reliving the heartbreak over and over again. However, as I reached the end of the book, it became clear why the author chose to make us experience those emotions alongside Paedyn. It added depth to the story and allowed us to truly empathize with the characters. Even though it was tough to go through, it made the journey with Paedyn all the more impactful.

Ava’s Death: I was in complete shock after this reveal of Ava’s death… I am still processing, and this is where I am hoping for a quick novella. I need this author to explain because I cannot go on with this mystery.

Paedyn’s Real Father: HOLY CRAP! (excuse my language). but WHAT! lol did not see this coming.

Kitt’s Death: To watch a great king take this sad approach was just heartbreaking. You can see his mind go insane as the story developed. I really wish he could have seen the growth his kingdom achieved under Paedyn’s and Kai’s leadership.

Ending: I loved the little view of the future the author gave us into Paedyn and Kai’s love story. Little Kit is adorable and maybe we will see the Princess’s story in future books.

My soul will live with these characters for years to come! Highly recommend this whole series.
